David A Wilson was a foreman at Loxhams garage on Penny Street, and his son, David C Wilson worked there as an apprentice - before going it alone, aged 23, at the former Brewery Lane site behind the Dukes theatre.

David was joined by son David H Wilson in 1996, aged 16, and since relocating to Scotforth, the youngest member of the family has taken over the reigns, with grandfather and father there for guidance.

David is joined by experienced mechanic Paul Sanderson, who has been with the business for 36 years, and is responsible for MOT servicing.

Neville Smith, who also has a long connection to Wilsons, worked as a salesman at Loxhams and then in 1986 came to DC WIlson to work as a salesman, and has remained ever since.

In 2005 service technician Paul McQueen joined the team, bringing vast knowledge having previously worked at Audi, VW and Seat dealerships.

Nigel Pye is the latest addition to D C Wilson, with 35 years experience and will be responsible for MOT testing, servicing and repairs.
